SETANTA AND AISAKE Ó hAilpín are set for a brotherly double act in the Aussie Rules lower leagues.
The two have signed contracts with semi-pro club Albury Tigers, according to reports in Australia.
The Tigers are one of Tadhg Kennelly’s former clubs and the Kerryman was instrumental in the switch, persuading Setanta to join them over local rivals North Albury.
“Tadhg was pretty much the main motivating factor,” Setanta told the Border Mail. “He was rapt with the club in his time at the Tigers and said the people reminded him of back home.”
Setanta first moved to Australia in 2003 to join Carlton and was joined by Aisake who signed a rookie contract the following year.
But Aisake, now 28, never made a senior appearance in his four seasons with the Blues.
Following a brief return to the Cork hurlers, he moved back to Australia in 2010 and resumed his Aussie Rules career in the semi-pro leagues.

“He is lightning quick and is a big unit,” former Blues team-mate Brendan Fevola told the Border Mail.
“He is obviously pretty athletic and has got a great engine.”
