FOR THE THIRD year on the trot, PJ Delaney’s season has ended prematurely – this time with a hip injury.
The Fenians man has endured a broken ankle and fractured leg in recent campaigns.
“I just have to accept the situation and get on with it,” Delaney told this week’s Kilkenny People. “I have plenty of experience of being injured and I am up for the fight to recover.”
The 27-year-old has already gone under the knife in a bid to repair the hip but he is braced for a probable second operation in the coming months.
