SEAN WALSH HAS been approved as a candidate for the GAA presidency.
At a meeting of the Kerry County Committee in Tralee last night, the Moyvane man was endorsed to run for the position of Uachtarán Tofa Cumann Lúthchleas Gael when Liam O’Neill’s term ends in April 2015.
“Tonight I am delighted to propose the nomination of Seán Walsh for the position of Uachtarán Tofa Cumann Lúthchleas Gael at next year’s GAA Annual Congress,” said chairman of the County Committee Patrick O’Sullivan.
Walsh, Ó Feargail and Sheamus Howlin from Wexford will be O’Neill’s main contenders when the election take place at next April’s annual congress of the association.

Walsh, with experience as Kerry County Board Development Officer and County Chairman, joins Aogan Ó Feargail, who was last week confirmed at an Ulster GAA meeting.
