It didn't take long for Sean St Ledger to find himself a new club

The defender is linking up with Kevin Doyle in Colorado.

SEAN ST LEDGER’S faltering career is back on track after the defender signed for Colorado Rapids following his abrupt departure from Orlando City earlier in the week.

The former Ireland international was ‘waived’ by Orlando for a ‘serious breach of club policy’ and he will now link-up with Kevin Doyle in Denver.

St Ledger, who featured 15 times in the MLS before his release from Orlando, will now play in the Western Conference and could make his debut for the Rapids against Colombus Crew on Saturday evening.

“Sean is an important addition to our roster,” said Paul Bravo, VP of Soccer Operations and Technical Director at Colorado.

“He has leadership skills and experience having played at a very high standard in English football, in addition to a long career with the Irish national team.

“Also he has had half-a-season in MLS so he will complement our existing squad. We are sure he’ll make a valuable contribution at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.”

Cork-born defender Shane O’Neill joined Cypriot side Apollon Limassol earlier in the day, although he was on the roster as a home-grown player as oppose to a designated international player.

Colorado currently sit bottom of the standings but have won three of their last four outings.
