Sean O'Brien could have been a bruising running back.

This is what would happen if Sean O'Brien played American football

This high school football player is an even bigger wrecking ball than the Leinster flanker.

WHEN HE IS at his best, Sean O’Brien’s running style is very reminiscent of an American football running back. The Tullow Tank has an innate ability to treat opponents like speed bumps as he trucks over them, a skill that is coveted in American football. And if this video is anything to go by, O’Brien’s physical ball carrying could have been very successful in the sport.

This bulldozing touchdown run from a high school game in America will remind you of the Carlow Cannonball. Matt O’Connor should bring this kid into the Leinster academy.

He boshes one player, swats another one away and then runs over one or two more on the way to the end zone. Pretty impressive stuff. But before we offer this kid a contract (and by “we” I mean “I”), let’s remind ourselves of what O’Brien is capable of.
