IT’S BEEN A problematic afternoon for the Irish team against France at the Rugby World Cup today.
In addition to losing Johnny Sexton and Paul O’Connell through injury, Joe Schmidt’s side are also likely to be without Sean O’Brien next week, after the Irish star was caught punching Pascal Papé in an off-the-ball incident in today’s game.
The officials failed to spot the punch at the time, but retrospective action is expected to be taken against the Leinster and Ireland player.
