Sean Hagan appointed new Leitrim boss

The decision made by the county board tonight was a unanimous one.

SEAN HAGAN HAS been appointed as the new manager of the Leitrim senior football team this evening following a unanimous decision by the county board.

Hagan beat six other candidates to the post including former joint managers Brian Breen and George Dugdale, Glenn Young and Martin McHugh.

The ratification was held in Pairc Sean Mac Diarmada, with Hagan given a one-year term in which the side are expected to challenge for promotion from Division 4.

Leitrim endured a disappointing campaign this year, as they were knocked out of the Connacht Senior Football Championship by London, before being beaten 8-13 to 0-10 by Armagh in Round 2 of this year’s All-Ireland qualifiers.
