Scott Parker and Lewis Holtby combined for this shocking miss against Basel tonight

The Spurs midfielder fluffed his lines from six yards out in tonight’s Europa League tie against Basel in White Hart Lane.

A closer look at the replay shows that the ball might have taken a nick off team-mate Lewis Holtby before trickling by the post but judging by Parker’s reaction, he knows it would have been easier to score.

The game finished 2-2.
