The FAI received the minimum allocation of just over 3,000 tickets for the Celtic Park clash, leaving a number of loyal fans empty-handed.
Thousands more travelling supporters are expected to make their way to Scotland having snapped up available tickets in the ‘home’ sections.
FAI chief executive John Delaney accused his SFA counterparts of acting “unprofessionally” by limiting the number of Irish tickets, while fan group You Boys in Green say the entire fiasco has shown that the FAI’s system is in need of fundamental reform.
