In case you missed it, the midfielder rifled home a trademark goal against New York Cosmos during his recent testimonial game for United – scoring a goal that may even force Alex Ferguson into having another rethink.
The 36-year-old retired from football at the end of the last season will now become a member of the club’s coaching team.
Speaking to the crowd afterwards, he – rather modestly – said: “It was brilliant to get the goal. I just hope I’ve given the fans a few decent memories over the years.”
