Samoan duo 'recovering well' after sickening clash

Brando Vaaulu and Tusi Pisi were forced off in the second half of Saturday’s international in Dublin.

AFTER BOTH WERE taken from the field during Saturday’s 40 – 9 defeat to Ireland, Samoan duo Tusiata Pisi and Brando Vaaulu are said to be recovering well from their head injuries.

The out-half and wing collided in the 56th minute at Aviva Stadium with Vaalu taken off on a stretcher as Pisi was helped to the sideline.

Though Samoan management says both are recovering, they remain under assessment by the medical team and it is unclear if they can be passed fir for either this weekend’s meeting with the France Barbarians or the following week’s Test against Georgia.
