It was a long time coming but Francis Saili's first Munster try was worth waiting for

It wasn’t enough to overcome the Ospreys, however.

FIFTEEN GAMES INTO his Munster career, Francis Saili finally got off the mark this evening.

The twice-capped All Blacks centre, who turns 25 on Tuesday, scored his first try in red after 27 minutes of his side’s Guinness Pro12 encounter with the Ospreys at Musgrave Park.

After Duncan Williams collected the ball at a ruck, it found its way to Saili via a swift passing movement involving Ian Keatley, Billy Holland and Rory Scannell.

Saili accelerated to full speed, danced around Ospreys wing Ben John and scored in the corner to put Munster 12-7 ahead. However, it wasn’t enough for them to avoid a 17-21 defeat to the Welsh side.
