Liverpool star Mane ruled out of Man United clash, set for spell on the sidelines

The influential attacker is expected to be out for up to six weeks after picking up a hamstring injury on international duty.

LIVERPOOL WILL BE without Sadio Mane for up to six weeks after it was revealed that he has suffered a hamstring injury.

The 25-year-old winger was forced off in the 89th minute of Senegal’s 2-0 World Cup qualifier win over Cape Verde on Saturday.

In a statement released this afternoon, the Reds confirmed that Sane will be sidelined for over a month — meaning he misses this weekend’s Premier League clash with Manchester United.

Mane has three goals in four league appearances this season, and sat out two matches last month due to the suspension obtained after his red card in the defeat to Manchester City.

Liverpool, who have 12 points from their opening seven matches this term, host the unbeaten United at Anfield at 12.30pm on Saturday.
