Canada first up for Ireland in 2015 Rugby World Cup

And it’s France in Cardiff in the final game of the pool.

IRELAND WILL KICK off their Rugby World Cup bid against Canada on Saturday, 19 September 2015.

Tournament chiefs released the full match schedule today.

After that opener against the North Amercian outsiders at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium, it will be ‘Europe 2′ next up for Joe Schmidt’s side at Wembley.

Ireland versus RBS 6 Nations rivals Italy is slated for the Olympic Stadium on Sunday, 4 October before the Irish return to the Welsh capital to take on France in a potential pool-winners decider.

Both qualifiers from Pool D will stay on in Cardiff for respective quarter-finals; the runners-up face the prospect of a last-eight clash with the All Blacks.
