Among the nominees are Brian Cody and Jim Gavin as they guided Kilkenny and Dublin to All-Ireland glory in September.
Eamonn Ryan is also included on the list after he led the Cork Ladies football side to their tenth title in 11 years, while his camogie counterpart Paudie Murray also lands a nomination after their All-Ireland success.

Managing Dundalk to the domestic double secured a nomination for Stephen Kenny, in what was a successful year for Irish soccer, which sees nominations for both Martin and Michael O’Neill as they guided the two Irish sides from both sides of the border to the European Championships in France.

After training a record-breaking eight winners at the Cheltenham Festival this year, Willie Mullins is included on the list.
Rugby coaches Joe Schmidt and Tom Tierney are also nominated. Schmidt claimed successive Six Nations titles with Ireland this year, while Tierney’s side claimed only their second ever Women’s Six Nations Championship.
Billy Walsh who left his post as Head Coach of Irish Boxing in controversial circumstances earlier this year is also nominated after his team won 10 medals at the World Championships, the European Championships and European Games.
While Craig Fulton was the first coach in over 100 years to guide an Irish hockey team to Olympic qualification.
