IRELAND ASSISTANT MANAGER Roy Keane is the new favourite to be the next permanent Celtic manager.
The Corkman’s odds of succeeding Neil Lennon were slashed by bookies last night as punters backed him into 6-4.
Keane played for the Parkead side between 2005 and 2006 after leaving Manchester United.
Owen Coyle is second favourite at 9-4 while Hoops’ favourite Henrik Larsson has dropped to 16-1.
Keane will attend an Ireland press conference in Dublin this evening ahead of Saturday’s international friendly with Italy in London.
