Round Two: Vitali could be next in line for beaten Haye

Vitali Klitschko could fight mouthy Londoner David Haye, despite the 30-year-old’s recent humbling at the hands of his brother Wladimir.

DAVID HAYE COULD be handed the chance to get another sound Klitschko whooping, this time at the hands of Wladimir’s older brother Vitali.

The Londoner was easily outpointed by Wladimir in Hamburg on July 2nd, meaning that the two Ukrainians now hold all the world titles in the heavyweight division between them.

“I was the happiest man in the world that my brother beat him but I’m unhappy that Wladimir (was not able) to send him to the floor,” Vitali told the BBC.

“That did not happen because it’s difficult when someone is running away. Maybe in the future if I have a chance to send him to the floor, I will.”

Haye – who unsportingly blamed a broken little toe for his poor performance recently – has gone on record as saying he wants a rematch with Wladimir, but the 35-year-old believes the Englishman is just looking for another big pay day.

“He’s talking about finances because it’s a good way to make more money. Well, it’s not just about money in sport. Will I concede a rematch? Maybe yes, maybe no.”
