Kilbride hits a hat-trick as Brigid's close in on Roscommon five-in-a-row

The 2013 All-Ireland champions have booked their place in the county semi-finals. Again.

SENAN KILBRIDE SCORED a hat-trick as St Brigid’s booked their place in the Roscommon SFC semi-finals this evening.

The 2013 All-Ireland champions — who are chasing five-in-a-row in the county — were seven-point winners against Clann na Gael in Kiltoom.

Kilbride scored 1-2 of the champions’ 1-5 in a comfortable opening 30 minutes.

And the Brigid’s captain rattled the net twice more after the break in a 3-8 to 1-7 win.

Roscommon Gaels and St Faithleach will have to do it all again after Saturday’s first quarter-final ended in a 2-9 to 1-12 draw.

Faithleach’s led by two points in injury time and looked to have thrown the game away when they conceded a sloppy goal.

But Brian Murtagh held his nerve with the clock in the red to force a replay.

The two remaining quarter-finals take place in Dr Hyde Park tomorrow (Sunday). Western Gaels play Castlerea St Kevins at 3.45pm while at 5.30pm, it’s Padraig Pearses v Strokestown.
