THERE’S NEVER A dull moment in Rory McIlroy’s world. When he’s not breaking up with his tennis superstar girlfriend, he’s winning trophies or tanking out of tournaments before the weekend.
Today, he’s experiencing one of those little joys of air travel that we all experience from time to time.
No, it wasn’t that his carry-on luggage was too big for the dreaded blue metal measuring device in front of the Ryanair gate; his most important piece of checked in luggage, his golf clubs, have gone AWOL.

The Co. Down man tweeted United Airlines about the problem today.
Hey @united landed in Dublin yesterday morning from Newark and still no golf clubs... Sort of need them this week... Can someone help!?
United have responded by asking Rors to follow and DM them like some crazy teenage One Direction fan, but he’s already losing valuable practice time before taking on the Irish Open at the Fota Island Resort.
