WIGAN’S RONNIE STAM endured a brief nightmare appearance last night – coming off injured less than a minute after being introduced at the DW Stadium last night.
The Latics twice took the lead before falling behind an eventually losing out 3-2 to Swansea in a game they had hoped would allow them to close the gap on the sides sitting just outside the relegation zone.
Dutchman Stam was brought on in the 86th minute but came straight back after suffering an injury moments later.
And Roberto Martinez is likely to be without the player for the final two games and possible considerably longer as he suggested it could be a broken leg in his post-match interview.

“We will check Ronnie tomorrow, but it seems it is a broken leg,” the Latics boss told Sky Sports after the final whistle.
“He couldn’t put any weight on it, so he will need a scan tomorrow to find out exactly what it is.”
