'Allez, Antoine... That's the f****** stuff' -- BT Sport sorry for Ronan O'Gara sideline chat

He’s picking up the lingo alright.

TOMMY TIERNAN HAS joke about the Cork accent and speaking French… but BT Sports bosses might not see the funny side this afternoon.

In a game in which Racing Metro were well beaten at Clermont on a scoreline of 47-14, pitchside microphones picked up on the Ronan O’Gara’s advice to one colleague, flanker Antoine Battut:  ’Allez, Antoine… That’s the f****** stuff’.

The charming mix of Thomond Park vocabulary and splash of French, saw the commentator Martin Gillingham apologise to any sensitive viewers.

Co-commentator Jamie Noon said he recognised the accent.
