A PORTUGUESE REPORTER was looking for a scoop this morning when he approached Cristiano Ronaldo while the Real Madrid star was out for a stroll with his Portugal team-mates in Lyon ahead of this evening’s decisive Euro 2016 Group F tie against Hungary.

After being held to draws by Iceland and Austria, Portugal are under pressure to reach the knockout stages, with Ronaldo’s missed penalty in the scoreless game against the Austrians on Saturday proving costly.

Portugal’s star player is unsurprisingly not in the best of form as a result, but this reporter decided to try his luck nevertheless. It didn’t quite go according to plan, however.

He emerged with a story, but probably not what he had in mind. Instead of answering the question, Ronaldo grabbed his microphone and tossed it into a nearby lake — the best shot he’s had so far at Euro 2016, to be fair.
