THERE IS A lot made of the rivalry between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi and the common perception is that the two don’t get along. It has almost been built into an either/or thing where you have to pick sides.
But while the two lads might not be best mates, Ronaldo’s son certainly seems to rate Messi highly. Cristiano Jr bumped into the Argentine maestro at the Ballon d’Or ceremony in Zurich on Monday night, and seemed to be in awe of the striker.

That’s nice, but now we have to get little Cristiano on record about who he thinks is better. It can be like a footballing Sophie’s Choice.
Maybe this show of reconciliation between Messi and Ronaldo will persuade them to finally include each other on their Ballon d’Or ballots.
