Ronaldo scores 4 in 20 minutes as Real Madrid match Champions League record

Karim Benzema scored a hat-trick… and Ronaldo still found a way to overshadow him.

CRISTIANO RONALDO SCORED an 11-minute hat-trick — and then added a fourth for good measure — as Real Madrid equalled the Champions League record with an 8-0 walloping of Malmo.

Karim Benzema scored a treble of his own, and Mateo Kovacic was also on the mark, as Rafa Benitez’s side ran riot at the Bernabeu.

Coincidentally, Benitez was Liverpool manager when they beat Besiktas 8-0 and set the record for the most goals in a Champions League game back in 2007.

Madrid qualify as Group A winners while Paris Saint-Germain, who were 2-0 winners against Shakhtar Donetsk, go through as runners-up.
