Man on a mountain bike jumps over Tour de France leaders mid-race

Romain Marandet knows how to make an entrance.

IT LOOKS LIKE something straight out of ET but, in fact, this clip was taken from last Saturday’s penultimate stage at the Tour de France.

Downhill mountain biker Romain Marandet decided to make a special guest appearance — by jumping over the leaders’ heads as they battled up the final climb.

A split-second after Chris Froome, Nairo Quintana and Joaquim Rodriguez passed, Marandet launched himself out of a group of trees and soared through the air before disappearing away down the other side of the road.

Madness.
