BAYERN MUNICH SENT out a warning to the rest of Europe with a magnificent seven against Roma.

Pep Guardiola’s side made it a perfect three wins from three, winning 7-1 on a night of record goals in UEFA Champions League.

Arjen Robben (2), Mario Götze and Robert Lewandowski put the Germans 4-0 up inside the first half-hour at the Stadio Olimpico before Thomas Müller made it five from the penalty spot on 36 minutes.

Gervinho pulled one back for the home side in the second half but two goals in two minutes from Franck Ribery and Xherdan Shaqiri completed the rout.
