AHEAD OF ITS premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh on 12 July, the trailer for the short film about a young Roy Keane has been released.
‘Rockmount’, directed by Dave Tynan and funded by Bord Scannán na hÉireann/Irish Film Board as part of the Signatures scheme, tells the story of 11-year-old Roy during his days as a schoolboy football with Rockmount.
The football scenes were filmed at the club’s ground in Whitechurch as Roy (played by Craig Keane Harrington) comes toe-to-toe with his rival Peter (John Costello).
