American football team celebrate with a glorious recreation of 'The People's Elbow'

You better believe that the Jacksonville Sharks know their role.

AMERICAN FOOTBALL FANS will know about the buzz-killing NFL rule which penalises teams for anything deemed to be ‘excessive celebration.’

Imagine all of the iconic celebrations we’d have missed out on if every sport had the same rule — no Gazza in the dentist’s chair, no Bebeto baby celebration. The world would be a poorer place.

Fortunately, there’s no such rule in the Arena Football league and the Jacksonville Sharks took full advantage with this glorious tribute to the Rock on Saturday night.

Jacksonville were already comfortably beating Tampa Bay when Tiger Jones caught a touchdown pass and immediately morphed into The Great One with a full re-enactment of the iconic People’s Elbow.

Once Jones had done the business, team-mate London Crawford dived in for the pin while Joe Hills hammered out the three count.

Top marks all round, including for the officials who made no attempt to intervene.
