Man United and Chelsea eye Bayern Munich hotshot Robert Lewandowski - reports

Both English clubs are in the market for a striker this summer.

BAYERN MUNICH STAR Robert Lewandowski could be on his way out of the club this summer, with Man United and Chelsea both reportedly interested in the player.

According to Sky Sports pundit Guillem Balague, Lewandowski is unhappy with the lack of support shown by his current club, particularly in his failed bid to finish the season as the Bundesliga’s top scorer — the Polish international managed 30 goals, but Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang registered one more than him ultimately.

With the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic from Man United and the expected move of Diego Costa away from Chelsea, both English clubs in question are in the market for a striker this summer and it is understood they have had talks with Lewandowski’s agent over a potential transfer, while the 28-year-old is said to prefer a move to London.

The speculation comes after Lewandowski extended his current Bayern deal to 2021 as recently as last December.

According to British media reports, the player — who has scored over 100 goals in four seasons with Bayern — could cost as much £120 million (€137 million) if the German club agree to sell their star man.
