5 things we learned from Robbie Keane’s interview with Ray D’Arcy

LA don’t do nightclubs like the ones in Tallaght, according to the Ireland skipper.

1. They don’t have nightclubs like his old haunt Cocos in Tallaght over in LA

Robbie says he used to frequent the now closed club with Richie Dunne when they were “very young”.

2.   He doesn’t know how many toilets are in his house in LA

“That’s something you’ll have to ask the missus.” He was more concerned about the garden and the presence of a bar.

3. Four-year-old son Robert Jnr “has an eye for the ball” and is left-footed – unlike his dad

And the tattoo on his wrist is Robert’s date of birth and his number (10).

4. He believes the MLS will be a massive league in the next few years

He says he has former team-mates “I won’t mention any names” who are desperate to go over.

5. Robbie plans to become a manager

While he has no plans to retire, he is doing his coaching badges in December and wants to get into management one day.
