Robbie Keane did NOT vote for Lionel Messi to win this year's Ballon d'Or

Meanwhile, Irish manager Martin O’Neill nominated Eden Hazard as one of his picks.

ROBBIE KEANE WAS not part of the 41% of Ballon d’Or voters who ensured Lionel Messi secured a record fifth Ballon d’Or this evening.

The Ireland captain nominated Cristiano Ronaldo as the world’s best player in 2015, placing Messi second and Neymar third.

However, Ireland manager Martin O’Neill did pick Messi as his first choice, with the 63-year-old coach going with Chelsea’s Eden Hazard second and Ronaldo third.

Meanwhile, Ireland’s media representative Paul Kelly opted for Messi first, Luis Suarez second and Ronaldo third.
