REPUBLIC OF IRELAND star Robbie Keane has given an early Christmas present to nine-year old Cody Nolan by inviting him and his family to watch Ireland’s crunch Euro 2016 qualifier with Poland next March from his private box at the Aviva Stadium.
Keane, Ireland’s record goalscorer, was visiting patients at Crumlin Children’s Hospital when he met the young Cystic Fibrosis sufferer from Carlow.
Commenting on Keane’s Facebook post, Cody’s mother Michelle said:
“Words can’t describe the feelings both Cody and I had today . He had been so unwell the last few days and to see his little face light up when Robbie Keane walked through that door.”
