Luckless Brady set to miss out on Serbia game

The Hull winger picked up a groin injury over the weekend with Martin O’Neill due to name his squad tomorrow.

HULL CITY WINGER Robbie Brady has emerged as a major doubt for Ireland’s upcoming friendly with Serbia next month.

The 22-year-old missed Monday night’s FA Cup fifth round tie against Brighton after pulling up in training with a groin injury over the weekend.

He underwent a scan yesterday and is unlikely to be available for selection with Ireland manager Martin O’Neill naming his squad tomorrow for the 5 March game at the Aviva Stadium.

Brady began his first season in the Premier League with four goals in the opening two months for the Tigers but has been dogged by injuries in recent months.

Club mate Paul McShane is out for the season after having an exploratory operation on his ankle, which confirmed a micro-fracture.

O’Neill will hold his squad announcement in Limerick tomorrow morning.
