Robbie Brady withdraws from Ireland squad to undergo groin operation

The Hull midfielder will miss the upcoming games against Germany and Kazakhstan.

NOEL KING WILL be without the services of Robbie Brady for the upcoming dead-rubber World Cup qualifiers against Germany and Kazakhstan.

The Hull midfielder underwent a scan on a groin problem today and it was decided he should have an operation on the injury.

The in-form Dubliner had been part of King’s 25-strong squad for the games on October 11 and 15, the interim boss may now look to some of the recalled names instead for the two games.

Brady’s opponent at the weekend, Jon Walters, was also assessed for a groin problem today. The Stoke man’s fitness ‘will continue to be assessed this week’.
