Richardt Strauss will get his season under way against Munster A tomorrow

Jack O’Donoghue will captain the southern province’s shadow side in Donnybrook tomorrow.

IRELAND INTERNATIONAL RICHARDT Strauss will start his first game of the season when Leinster A host Munster A in Donnybrook at 1pm tomorrow.

The fixture will act as a prelude to the Pro12 meeting between the first teams at the Aviva Stadium (KO 6.30pm).

Strauss last played for Leinster on May 10, when a hamstring injury and subsequent surgery delayed his re-integration Leinster’s training squad.

Strauss starts in the front row alongside Sean McCarthy (a late change in place of Peter Dooley) and Oisin Heffernan.

Munster also have experience in the ranks with Donncha O’Callaghan and Johne Murphy among the starting line-up.

Number eight Jack O’Donoghue, captain of Ireland under 20s this summer, holds the same position with the A team for tomorrow’s clash.
