This 'revised' list of top 100 metre times will make athletics fans feel very sad

Only Usain Bolt remains untarnished in the top 10.

IT HAS BEEN a disappointing day in the world of athletics with the news that Tyson Gay, Asafa Powell and Sherone Campbell have all tested positives for banned substances just a month out from the World Championships.

To make things worse, Steve Magness has put the scandals in perspective by tweeting this list of the fastest men’s 100 metre times in history with  the names of anyone involved in a positive test or scandal crossed off.

And Magness has since admitted that, yes, Yohan Blake has served a three-month ban and should have a strike through his name too.

So we’re left with Usain Bolt, Donovan Bailey and Bruny Surin as the fastest men in history.
