Irish referee floored after copping box-kick clearance to the face

JP Doyle was left red-faced and red-earred at the weekend.

IRISH REFEREE JP DOYLE was flattened at Kingsholm on Sunday after receiving a box-kick clearance to the face.

The Dubliner, who works primarily in the Premiership, got a little bit too close to the action at the weekend while officiating Gloucester’s home win over Worcester.
