JUST ONE WEEK after being appointed as the head coach of the Jordan national team, Harry Redknapp has won his first game in charge in commanding fashion; an 8-0 thumping of Bangladesh.
The former Tottenham boss is currently only in charge for two crucial World Cup qualifiers in the Asian Football Confederation, the second of which is in Sydney against Group B leaders Australia on Tuesday.
It was announced just last week that Redknapp would take on the role following his appointment by Prince Ali Al Hussein, president of the Jordan Football Association and Fifa presidential failure.

The Aussies also had a comfortable win in Adelaide today, making light work of Tajikistan in a 7-0 win.
Celtic’s Tom Rogic’s stunning week continued. Fresh from scoring a last-minute wonder goal against Kilmarnock last weekend, the midfielder scored twice after being introduced in the 67th minute.
While Redknapp is only locked in for two World Cup qualifiers, he has revealed that we would consider staying on if Jordan progress to the third round of qualifying, something that can only be guaranteed by a win in Sydney.
Failure to do so would mean Jordan’s chances of progression would depend on other results going their way.
Redknapp only recently began an advisory role with Derby County in England’s second tier having been out of football management since leaving QPR at the start of last year.
