HERE’S A GOAL to take you back to the days of U9 football in a muddy park or three-and-in with a bottle cap in the schoolyard.

German third division side Red Bull Leipzig went back to their roots and used the old fashioned kick-and-chase on Saturday.

Seven Leipzig players were on the halfway line for the kick-off against Stuttgart II and as soon as the ball was tipped, they charged towards the penalty area.

One long ball and a couple of flicks later, Daniel Frahn had scored the game’s opening goal — after just six seconds.

It’s nice to see genius like this being rewarded and Red Bull went on to win 3-1.

Next week: beating your man by playing the ball off the wall.
