CHELSEA MIDFIELDER RAMIRES will miss the rest of the Premier League run-in after the FA hit him with a four-match ban for striking Sunderland’s Sebastian Larsson.
Although referee Mike Dean and his assistants missed the incident at Stamford Bridge, the FA used video footage to bring a violent conduct charge against the Brazilian.
Ramires will miss Chelsea’s remaining games against Liverpool, Norwich and Cardiff as well as the first domestic fixture of next season after accepting the punishment, which was upped from three matches to four in light of his sending off at Aston Villa last month.
But he will be eligible for the Champions League semi-final second leg against Atletico Madrid next Wednesday.
