The Italian side gave up 42 points to the Ospreys last week so the Parisians would have expected a backline containing Johnny Sexton, Jamie Roberts and Brice Dulin to put up a similar score but the home side dug in for the majority of the match and allowed Racing only two five pointers.

The first half was low on quality and Racing just edged it with Sexton’s two penalties giving the visitors a 6-3 lead with Jayden Hayward responding for the home side.
Racing struck a telling blow four minutes after half-time when Henry Chavancy finished off a nice move after good work from the Racing pack.
Sexton kicked the conversion and a penalty to put his team in control before Ludovica Nitoglia’s try gave Treviso a lifeline.
But Racing are solid, if not spectacular, and were able to see out the game with another Sexton penalty and a try from Bernard Le Roux, who drove over from five metres out.
Racing now lead pool five on eight points, with Northampton and Ospreys behind them on five points.
