Welcome home, Quadey: Cooper checks in with old Irish friends

Top bloke is Quade. Why would anybody boo him?

EARLIER THIS WEEK, we brought you the news that Quade Cooper had promised to call in with the family who had put him up during his 2005 schoolboy tour to these shores.

Well, he made good on that promise yesterday, calling in with the Carroll family in Blackrock.

He tweeted the below pic, saying: “Happy I got to see the Carroll family & have some laughs…”

He then added a smiley face and a #GreatPeople.

Top bloke.

The Wallabies have been training all week in Blackrock College and Cooper was eventually able to take a trip around the corner to take up a seat at the kitchen table.

He couldn’t catch up on all of his Irish roots, though. That tour eight years ago also brought the Australian out-half to Limerick, but the six-hour round trip was never likely to fit his tight schedule this week.
