Alex Song and Gervinho remain banned, although Emmanuel Frimpong is available for selection once more. Tomas Rosicky is out with a knee injury, with Thomas Vermaelen, Jack Wilshere and Abou Diaby all longer term absentees.
New Swansea signing Federico Bessone is available but the club is waiting for clearance on deadline day purchases Darnel Situ and Rafik Halliche.
Captain Garry Monk is out with a foot injury, while Alan Tate’s broken leg – sustained in a golf buggy accident – will keep him out in the long term.
