THE AIRTRICITY LEAGUE’S latest export has spoken of his burning desire to play in England and the delight at sealing a move to Preston North End.
Graham Cummins had an incredible season with local club Cork City, where he scored a 94th-minute winner to seal the Airtricity League First Division title and won a PFAI Player of the Year award after a tally of 24 goals last season.

This week, however, he agreed a two-year deal with League One side Preston North End and the 24-year-old could not be happier.
Throughout my whole career I have been looking to get over here and I can already see how big football is in England by just looking at the stadium, it is unbelievable.
“It hasn’t yet sunk in that I am Preston North End player and I keep on thinking I am heading back over to Ireland.
“I think the move will only sink in when I make my debut for the club and I can’t wait to walk out onto the pitch on Saturday.”
Preston will pay around €100,000 for the striker and Cummins is set to link up with another young Irish player in U21 international Rhys Murphy, who joins the Lilywhites from Arsenal for the season.
