Aiden McGeady's brilliant season recognised with Preston's player of the year award

The Ireland winger has been enjoyed his first season at Deepdale.

AIDEN MCGEADY HAS been named Preston North End’s player of the year after an outstanding season which has seen the winger rediscover some of his best form at club level.

The Ireland international has produced a string of consistent performances this term and his fine form was rewarded by the Championship club during this afternoon’s Community Day at Deepdale.

In his first season at Preston, McGeady, who won the Championship player of the month award for February, has featured in 33 of the 45 league outings this season, scoring eight goals.

With one game of the campaign remaining, Simon Grayson’s side lie 11th in the Championship.
