AIB ALL-IRELAND club champions Portumna survived a major challenge before winning out against Loughrea in today’s Galway club quarter-final.
Portumna eventually prevailed by 2-15 to 1-17 on a day that also saw quarter-final wins for Gort and Craughwell in Galway. Ardrahan and Turloughmore must meet again after yesterday’s draw.
The semi-final draw will see Portumna take on Craughwell while Gort face either Ardrahan or Turloughmore.
Elsewhere, Ballyboden St-Enda’s and St Judes won today’s Dublin quarter-final ties at O’Toole Park. Ballyboden prevailed narrowly by a point against Cuala while St Judes had fifteen points to spare after a comfortable win over Faughs.

The semi-final line up will involve Ballyboden facing Kilmacud Crokes while O’Toole’s will square off against St Judes.
In Ulster, reigning champions Slaughtneil retained their Derry senior hurling crown while Cushendall won their first Antrim title since 2008.
And in Laois, Rathdowney-Errill disposed of Camross to take the senior hurling honours.
