POLL: Would you like to see France qualify for the World Cup?

Les Bleus are facing the prospect of being absent from next year’s finals in Brazil.

FRANCE ARE ON the brink of missing out on next year’s World Cup as they look to overturn a 2-0 first leg defeat to Ukraine in Paris tonight.

While Didier Deschamps’ squad includes talents such as Franck Ribery, Karim Benzema, Patrice Evra and Hugo Lloris, they were second best in Kiev and face an uphill battle at the Stade de France.

A recent poll in Le Parisien shows the French public has lost faith in their underachievers and fans will no doubt turn on the team if things don’t go well.

Four years have passed since Thierry Henry’s infamous handball against Ireland, so are you hoping France qualify for next year’s finals?

Poll Results:

I don't care either way (999)
No. Let them see how it feels to miss out (818)
Yes. I want to see the best players on show at the World Cup (170)

He realised he would have to run 25km against Man City instead of his usual 20km so he “did a Dele” and stayed down.

In fairness, would probably still have lost if he was playing but City would not have had 900 completed passes if he was there. Fabregas “closing down” was disgraceful – must have learned that when he was at Arsenal

@Brian O’Loughlin: probably fatigue. These guys give blood, sweat and tears six days a week.
