Big chance: Ulster's Paddy Jackson will be named at 10 today. INPHO/Billy Stickland

POLL: Declan Kidney is set to pick Paddy Jackson ahead of Ronan O’Gara… is it the right call?

The unproven Ulster star is to start against Scotland.

SO WHO SAW that one coming?

Declan Kidney will put his cards on the table today when he officially names his team for the trip to Edinburgh at Carton House. But he’s managed to bluffed us all, it seems.

Ireland will start with  Paddy Jackson at No 10 against Scotland on Sunday, according to reports. The infinitely more experienced Ronan O’Gara will start on the bench at Murrayfield.

The Munster out half put in one of his least impressive kicking displays when he was introduced against England, after Jonny Sexton injured a hamstring last time out in Dublin.

So Ulster’s Jackson — who failed to make an impression in last season’s Heineken Cup final — will get his chance to shine on the big stage. Do you think he deserves it? Let us know in the comments.
