Anderson held his nerve in the 13th set of an epic final to check out double 12 and deny Taylor his 17th world title.
After saluting the crowd with a clenched fist, Anderson turned to shake hands only to find that the beaten Taylor had walked away to pour a glass of water.
He may have been a little bit thirsty but surely the right thing to do is to wait and shake the hand of the new world champion, not ignore him.
