IF YOU COULD pick any professional golfer to take on a 100-yard chip shot to earn $1 million for a children’s charity, you’d choose Phil Mickelson. The man is a genius.

At half-time in last night’s Broncos v Chargers NFL game, “Lefty” was faced with an endzone-to-endzone shot to net a big prize for First Book, a non-profit which provides books for children in need.

All he had to do was land the ball within five feet; miss and First Book would only get a cheque for $50,000.

He couldn’t miss, could he?
